Our Children's Respite Program supports families who have a child with a disability. Respite is a family-to-family program where the child typically goes into the home of the caregiver to provide the family with a break. Respite visits generally happen over a weekend on an overnight basis. However, a more flexible schedule can be designed to meet the needs of the family and caregiver availability.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
Skills and Knowledge:
- Caring, stable home
- Experience or an interest supporting children who have developmental disabilities
- Education is an asset
Requirements:
- Current First Aid or willingness to obtain
- Pass a criminal record check during screening
