Footloose

The Footloose program focuses on recreation and volunteer opportunities in the community. The individuals we serve in the Footloose program go through a Discovery process to uncover goals they want to fulfill and CVS staff works with them to fulfill these goals. The Program Coordinator of the Footloose program is Philip Nkum and he leads his team to help turn these goals into reality.

The individuals we serve in our Footloose program have higher medical needs and are aging. Alison Goulding works with the individuals we serve as our Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and Augmented and Alternative Communications (AAC) Coordinator. Her role in our Footloose program is to assist in the creation of plans with CBI, training staff, behaviour tracking and ensuring plans are followed. For AAC support, she creates communication systems such as PECS and Picture Symbols. For the Footloose program, she also creates social stories and aids in communication for people who need reminders due to aging behaviour. Alison also teaches Mandt to our staff and the individuals we serve.
